Friends of Townlands Community Hospital Henley on Thames - Supporting Patients in Townlands Hospital

About Us
TOWNLANDS HOSPITAL LEAGUE OF FRIENDS was established by public meeting in Henley in 1955 and is a registered Charity. Volunteers work with our local community Hospital to maximise resources available for the welfare and comfort of patients.
The League fundraises to provide amenities for patients and staff, both in the bedded and Outpatients’ Wards. The League funds a Hospital vehicle for patient transport and recently has been helping provide specialist equipment to facilitate the expanding Consultants’ clinics on site.
With the hospital nearly finished, we now have a new fight on our hands with the OCCG decision to not provide any beds in the hospital, despite their promises over the years to replace the 18 beds already in use in Peppard Ward. We need your donations for our fighting funds to make them keep their promises to make the new Townlands the Hospital for Henley that we have fought for over the last 25 years. Press the DONATE button above and you can be confident that any funds so raised will go towards our campaign to hold the Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group to account and PROVIDE OUR BEDS as promised.

Alternatively, Transfer directly to the Townlands Action Group bank account at

We welcome new members to the League to help in any number of ways.  You may wish to help with fundraising, Events, support Hospital issues through attending public meetings or volunteer to spend time with patients in the bedded Ward.
If you prefer to stay in the background, but wish to offer general support for the cause, it’s enough simply to make an annual membership subscription (recommended £10 min pa.) or even an adhoc payment via the DONATE button on this page, and we shall update you with a newsletter and invitation to any social events which we organise.
The League presents its Annual Report and Accounts to a public meeting every year in March or April. Notice will be given in the local press, and everyone is welcome.
